Instructor - Steven Foster, R.L.A., A.S.L.A. is a registered landscape architect in MA with over 30 years of experience. He previously taught at the Landscape Design Institute affiliated with the Arnold Arboretum and Harvard University. Alana Chernila is the author of three books: The Homemade Pantry, The Homemade Kitchen, and Eating From the Ground Up: Recipes for Simple, Perfect Vegetables. Level I requires completion of the seven Level I core courses and the Garden Practicum. She has run a successful catering business since 1980, and has coined her own style of cooking, healthy gourmet, which focuses on creating delicious meals using seasonal ingredients and healthy preparations. Dog pools will be located throughout the Garden and there will be photo opps galore to document your day at BBG. Food will be provided by Main St. Hospitality with additional beverages from Barrington Brewery.

This annual year-end event finds the Garden transformed into a glistening holiday market featuring the legendary Gallery of Wreaths, a Garden tradition offering one-of-a-kind wreaths created by some of the area’s most talented designers and… Throughout the summer, these vessels will display arrangements created by a rotating group of talented floral designers whose interpretations of the art are reflected in unique displays of flowers and other natural materials. Adamis a past recipient of the Young Nursery Professional Award from the New England Nursery Association and is the current Vice President of the North American Maple Society. Her exhibition at the Garden brings together a current body of work created over the past two years in her Williamstown, MA studio. See an album of images from Plant Shadows. In this class, the morning discussion will include a presentation of many of Berkshire County's asters and goldenrods, focusing on their identification features and discussing their characteristic habitats.
